Legislative Report Card

The Legislative Report Card aims to make obscure policies proposed by Mississippi Legislators more accessible to residents while encouraging legislators to create legislation with the wellbeing of Black girls and women and other people of color and marginalized groups in mind.

The 2022 Legislative Report Card analyzed 23 proposed pieces of legislation potentially affecting Black girls and women. The document contains a legislative summary, status text, timeline actions, a list of sponsors , TL|BGP’s stance, a letter grade (“A” through “F”), and the explanation for our choices.
